Positive: The place is stunning; both the property and the landscape are remarkable. I can't really put into words how beautiful the whole place is, but I will try... The staff is very friendly, and they always check if your needs are met. The room and bathroom I stayed in (close to the main lodge) are spacious, comfortable, and well-decorated. The property has many "special" places where you can contemplate nature, meditate, walk, etc. There is access to the lake, where you can kayak, swim, and standup paddle (all offered by the hotel). Private tours (R$ 100 per person) take you to the falls close to the property. The tour is worth very much the money. They also offer a complimentary afternoon tea on Saturday, which is full of delicious treats. Moreover, they add small and special treats every night. These small details make a big difference to the overall experience.
Negative: It is not much related to what I didn't like, but it is good to be aware of it beforehand. Also small issues that the hotel should fix. The breakfast was included in my rate; the rest was not (that I was aware of). However, the meals and beverages in the hotel are quite expensive, and as far as I know, there are few other options around as the hotel is quite secluded. So be prepared to pay more than R$ 100 per individual meal, and around R$ 10 for a bottle of water. The positive side is that the food is also excellent, so the price became less of an issue. We had some problems with leaking, clogged drains, and damaged furniture, but that didn't impact the overall experience. The staff were very good at attending to the issues.
